About this experience
Horseback riding near Florence, departing from a working organic farm where horses are cared for with love and the Tuscan countryside begins right at the gate.
This experience was born from a dream: to let people feel a genuine connection with nature, through the bond that forms between a person and a horse.
Margherita is your guide. She cares for our horses every day, knows each one by name and leads all rides personally from Bio e Brado, a working organic farm in Impruneta, 14 km south of Florence. When you arrive, you are not just starting a trail ride. You are stepping into a place that is genuinely alive. The farm is also home to ostriches, pigs, ponies, bunnies, roosters, chickens and many other animals — a true farm animals Tuscany experience that is part of the visit itself.
From the farm, Margherita leads you out along quiet trails into the horse riding Chianti hills landscape. Vineyards, ancient olive groves and cypress-lined paths stretch out ahead of you. The routes are peaceful, the views are extraordinary and the paths are yours alone. This is what horseback riding Tuscany looks and feels like when it is done properly, without a bus transfer or a city meeting point.
At the end of the ride, you are welcome to stay for a Tuscan aperitivo or a farm-to-table dinner made with produce grown right here at Bio e Brado. One of the most genuine experiences of horseback riding in Italy, right on the doorstep of Florence.
